Second hand meets modern

Second hand meets modern

Second hand meets modern

Probably one of my all-time favorite combinations, old and new – SH and modern pieces. Second hand is an older passion so to speak and besides the uniqueness and the pleasure of looking for clothes that have lived other lives, there is also the sustainability factor that should interest us all, now. Because what goes around comes around.

In today's look post I mixed an oversized GAP blouse (size 44) from About You with a khaki faux leather skirt that I caught my eye on a few days ago on At Majole .

LaMajole is an online second hand, outlet and vintage shop all in one. The leather bag is also from there, which I left still stuffed with paper and air cushions (this is so you don't think that it's somehow different for big shootings) because it looks too good in the pictures. The only thing I actually have in it is the car key, because I was leaving for a mini-event, the opening of Szendi's salon. Back to the topic.

What's new here is actually the boots and the blouse, which is a big deal if they're not from the MEN section of the About You site. The boots look great to me, I really like the contrast and they're available in other colors. The fact that the sweatshirt is a large size - very large I would say, gives a certain fluidity to the otherwise stiff look from the bottom. I think it would also look great with a tapered leather skirt. But man, I'll be back to such lengths more towards November-December. For now, as always I'M A MINI SKIRTS fan. Big one. Mini skirt, big fan.
