The Wet Look Is the Only Thing You Should Be Wearing This Summer

One of the best feelings of a festival? On a damn couch, sippin’ on an ice cold Paloma and gaze at the main stage with ease. When you’ve just found your gang and you can relax for a second. We all know you’ve been rocking a 15.000 steps routine in these festivals and I don’t know what it is, but maybe just sitting on the couch for a damn second, enjoying the people having fun in front of you does it. Then you dance, you buzz, you sing, breathe it all in.

I was in the shower last night. A very curiously designed shower that is, with two ends, the top rainforest style and actual shower head - that somehow ended up working both at once. 

One with the hot water I usually use for my shower, the one my husband keeps complaining about (what is it with men and blunt mid-temperature showers?) and the other just turned on icy cold, just sprinkly enough to splash my face, my hair and well… everything. Don’t get me wrong I love removing my makeup in the shower with ease but this was bold. 

And then I sat there, with this sensation I’ve never felt before, all over my body: peculiar and refreshing all at once. I was just trying to set the temperature and I ended up turning on the ice bucket suprise. How’s that for an iconic end to the festival season. 

Bet it would have looked amazing on camera. And right there under the running water, I thought to myself… as if I was sitting on the couch at the festival. We change clothes, we go shorter, breezier, all cotton in our looks but what about our hair. Now mine was all wet for sure. If your mother didn’t tell you, wet looks are the only thing you should be wearing all summer. I know what you are about to say, you just didn’t find the texture accurate care that make it all… breezy frankly. Sometimes for my hair texture - the actual wet looks is exactly how it sounds: a bit of water mixed with a bit of hydrating oil and maybe a hair mask, whisked together madly and then sprayed every once in a while on the hair. Use when needed style. 

It works wonderfully for my hair texture. And even though my hair is straight it somehow forms this curious “beach wave” texture that seems rather appropriate for festival season to be honest. Now since it’s always wet which, only works as a cooler on summer days. (For winter we have gel, and a lot of pain usually, feeling like your head will freeze. But eh, it’s the NYE. Right?)

I heard the foreworks pop in Zara Larsson’s show and I wake up from my day dreaming. I love all these beautiful colours I see on stage, the amazing dancers she names one by one in this routine as they step forward dressed up in what seems like Barbie Dolls attire. 

No wonder the whole new generations is going head over heels. She’s colorful she’s fun, sexy, exotic in a way like a bedazzled, piña colada by the pool. At sunset. She has this unmatched energy. She started, and ended the concert with “Midnight sun”, which kind of became the anthem of the summer for me as well. Love that middle part. 

Talking about energy. She posted after something on Instagram that she did 116 shows in the last year which equals maybe one show every 3 days honestly crazy who keeps up with that! 

We did Untold so differently this year. Stayed at Radisson which was lit, gettin downstairs and basically being in the festival was an amazing feeling. Not so much for sleeping but eh, you know me, I can sleep anywhere. Thanks Ioana for taking care of us! 

Then we did of course a 3-night-in-a-row vip experience with Iquos. Can’t even begin to tell you how cool were all the concerts seen from up there, the crew they gathered. George of course only drinking champagne and entering on the right tracks. I don’t know if he enjoys partying as much, but it’s part of his job and we always have the best times. Tequilla included of course.

These days I remixed these cotton summer sets in every colour and our cropped white universal tee with jeans, cowboy boots and wardrobe staples I love - the Stella McCartney bra. Matei Edu snapped some of these photos you see here in the festival and I was really looking forward to share these fits with you.

Conclusions? Landing in Ibiza and I hope soon I can hit post on this article on the blog. We’re gonna surprise our finesse Alex for his birthday and we can’t wait to meet them. Hair texture these days? None. Like out of the shower. Because honesltly beauty should be effortless, it should be easy, and it’s exactly there. In this very moment: scrolling down, Pinterest or Instagram and researching your natural hair texture per example.
